Job Title:  Lead Software Engineer (Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase)

Job Description: Planning, designing and prototyping complex web-based Business Performance Management solutions to meet customer needs, working in finance organizations, with a solid understanding of work performed by financial analysts, controller, finance directors and CFO’s. Analyze highly complex engineering problems and situations concerning software applications by acquiring and analyzing diagnostic output documentation, identifying errors and incorrect procedures to aid in resolving system or application related error and problems and debugging in an embedded environment. Develop and present proposals for specific customer requirements and be responsible for conferring with customers and engineers to understand customer and system requirements. Participate in pre-sales activities while working with prospective clients to gain their business and be responsible for project scoping, system design, documentation, resource planning, leadership, guidance, and quality assurance throughout the build, test, and rollout of a system. Evaluate proposed and existing system applications by systematic analysis of their efficiency of design and resource utilization to assure performance within the company service level agreements. Provide guidance and direction to consultants and client resources. Responsibilty for project status, monitoring, and reporting and for satisfying both the functional and technical requirements for a system design and for communicating any project related issues immediately to the management team and provide ongoing support after project Go-Live. Overall, provide day-to-day implementation services for all phases of software implementation project for Hyperion Planning and Essbase frequently on multiple client engagements.

Requirements: MBA (Accounting or Finance or equivalent) or MIS with an underlying Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent and related minimum of 4 year of development experience in Hyperion Planning and Essbase with successful completion of minimum of 50 implementations. Must have thorough understanding of the interworking of the application, including the configuration steps required for designing, building and implementing Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Must have product and industry skills, a strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and an ability to work with both finance and IT staff to build solutions. Must have project management skills to include scope, plan and lead engagements. Experience with the Oracle Hyperion BI+ toolset: Web Analysis, Financial Reporting and SmartView. Experience with MAXL, ESSCMD, HAL, EAS and ODI. Must have good analytical and problem solving skills. Understanding of corporate finance and technical business solutions. Understanding of key IT / Business systems – ERP, General Ledger, Reporting & Analytics, Data Warehousing, CRM, etc. Must be committed to their client’s success and willing to do what it takes to help ensure that success. Responsibility for satisfying both the functional and technical requirements for a system design and for communicating any project related issues immediately to the management team, and provide ongoing support after project Go-Live. Work closely with the Lead Software Engineer and follow directions to achieve project deadlines. Overall, provide day-to-day implementation services for all phases of software implementation project for Hyperion Planning and Essbase frequently on multiple client engagements.

Requirements: Masters (in Finance or Accounting or equivalent) and 2+ years in Hyperion Planning or Essbase OR Four-years Bachelor’s degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or CIS and 5 years in Software Engineering Field out of which 3+ years in Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Must have development background in Hyperion Planning and Essbase and successful implementation of 20+ projects. Must have understanding of the interworking of the application, including the configuration steps required for designing, building and implementing BI products.
